Dear Partners & Friends,

Almost every year that I am blessed to celebrate another birthday, my mother will tell the story of teaching me how to spell my name at two years old. And it might be surprising, but I can remember as far back as three years old my young mother, who looked more like she could have been a sister, spending all she could afford to celebrate my birthday. And my birthday parties were big! My mother has always loved nice things and given the best birthday presents and cards.

But it was not always easy for our family. And because we are celebrating her birthday this week, I would rather keep those memories tucked away for a little longer.

What I will tell you is that my mother taught me first about Jesus and sang to me for years; she taught me how to perform, and every step of the way into manhood, she taught me how to be a man.

So I hope you’ll join the ministry as we honor her for the birthdays she spent in consecration. Those years hold few celebrations for my mother. I want to make it up to her by asking you to honor her on her birthday on January 24th.

How can you be a part of her day? By just giving my mother a small gift honoring her service to Christ for her birthday this year!
